No longer in the stone age

So I finally decided to add all the links to my sidebar. All of our friends in the community are on there with one addition- the "Just Because," link. Think of this as my version of Jon Stewart's Moment of Zen (or not at all). I'll (probably not) change this link about once a week or so to a web page that I like or spend/spent time on for whatever reason. It's either something I enjoy reading about, a very cool website, a time waster, something entirely goofy, and I'd be willing to bet there will be a few Xhosa grammar guides or a Nepali phrase book looming in the future. So that's something I decided to do, and comments to that regard can be directed to the most recent post. Yippee.
Just another small way for everyone to enjoy ForeignWords.
Also: I'm in the final stages of finishing up a story of mine. I sent it to one of my editors whose been reading it all along, and when I get the final word, I MAY start posting installments here. If I don't, please be assured you will get your own personal copy if you so desire (and are nice to me [after reading it]).

Sala Kahle (that's Xhosa for goodbye... do your own research)

I should've known the link. I haven't combed that one over yet, and probably won't, but it's a cool idea. And WHO got the copy of "it?" So envious it wasn't me, but I guess that's my fault.

Well take a look at their 9'6' model, the 290. It's an extra six inches longer than their older top o' the line, as I recall, and a full five inches longer than Tori's TWO. It's intense.

It's five inches longer for those 97 keys. I'd like to just hear what those keys sound like. That's wild.

My link doesn't work! Was that on purpose? I didn't mess your's up on mine.

The seven extra keys, as explained to me by Mr. Kawai, are not necessarily for playing. Do this(he did it too): slowly depress nine or ten keys with your hand/arm without the notes sounding. Hold them down as you depress the pedal and play a major chord pretty strongly. Don't let it run out, but pull off the pedal and MOST of the sound will stop. The rest of the resonance of the sound will stop when you pull up the bass notes. The purpose of that is to say that those nine sub bass notes add more resonance and extra sound to the piano even if you don't use them (and most people wouldn't use bottom A)

I tried it. "Fire Sign" sounds really cool when you do that, but I needed to employ a 3rd hand...or a large, heavy book of some sort.

On another note, where is everyone? I've been the only one commenting for the past few posts.
